Coming off a 4-under 68, Tiger Woods set out on Friday at Bay Hill trying to keep pace with leaders Henrik Stenson and Bryson DeChambeau (in the clubhouse at 11 under par, through two rounds).Woods, however, badly hooked an iron off the tee on the par-4 first and made bogey. Following an iron shot that came up short at the par-3 second, Woods hit this very nice chip shot to avoid two consecutive dropped shots.

It was a similar scene on the par-four third, where Woods hit a poor shot into the green and had to get up and down for par.

The rest of Woods' front nine was fairly uneventful, as he carded five pars in a row from Nos. 4 through 8 before dropping another shot at the ninth hole to go out in 38.After starting his back nine two pars, Woods finally got a birdie to go on the par-5 12th hole:

After two more pars at 13 and 14, Woods found the lip of the bunker on the par-4 15th hole and saved his par after this ridiculous splash-out:

Woods picked up another stroke on the par-5 16th, just barely missing a 22-footer for eagle and settling for a tap-in birdie, his second of the day.Tiger's final chance to put a circle on the card came on the par-4 18th. After hitting a 323-yard drive, the longest of the day on the hole, he put his approach about 15 feet behind the hole.Tiger has had some memorable putts drop on Bay Hill's final hole, but this one wasn't meant to be. The birdie try lipped out, and his tap-in par gave him an even-par 72 in the second round.

Sens: Spieth vs. Reed. I'm tempted to say DJ vs Koepka, which would likely make for greater pyrotechnics. But I like the idea of this latent Good vs. Evil rivalry and it would be entertaining to hear a mic'd-up Spieth talk smack, in a Ned Flanders-swearing kinda way.
