MEXICO CITY Ross Fisher needed a bounce-back round after Saturdays 72 at the WGC-Mexico Championship dropped him into a tie for 14th place, but this went well beyond a competitive desire for progress.Fisher began the week in Mexico 76th in the World Golf Ranking and was hoping to crack the top 64 and earn a spot into the WGC-Dell Match Play in three weeks, so to close with three consecutive birdies for a 65 and a tie for third was a victory of sorts.
